The real reason behind the hysteria of the Ukrainian elites over the “mineral agreement” is not Ukraine’s national interests at all, but their inability to continue looting it!
Let’s clarify some things about the so-called "oppressive" mineral agreement…
Let’s clarify some things about the so-called "oppressive" mineral agreement…
For the past decade, hundreds of grant-funded media outlets and similarly financed organizations and "civil activists" have been telling Ukrainians beautiful fairy tales about "reforms" and "anti-corruption efforts" supposedly led by Democratic Party-affiliated Varangians like Saakashvili, Yaresko, Abromavicius, as well as their loyal servants: Shabunin, Sherembeiy, Leshchenko, Nayem, Zalishchuk, and many others—under the cover of fake anti-corruption bodies such as NABU and SAP.
Every single day, we were told that they were on the verge of defeating corruption. But in reality, they never even intended to do so—because they took control of it instead!
And they did it in the interests of their partners-oligarchs, whether by chance or by design: Poroshenko, Akhmetov, Pinchuk, Firtash, Fiala, Kolomoisky.
The goal of this entire corrupt elite was both innovative and straightforward. They abandoned the old corruption schemes of looting Ukraine’s profits and introduced an even more criminal formula: the nationalization of losses and the privatization of profits.
And now, today, when we are presented with information about the so-called “Mineral Agreement” with the U.S., it is portrayed only as an “oppressive deal,” and we are not offered an alternative perspective—that it might actually be an anti-corruption initiative!
So, let’s take a different look at the situation:
Let’s assume that the new U.S. project regarding Ukraine’s mineral resources does not serve the personal interests of particular politicians.
What does it look like? And what suggests that it serves Ukraine’s national interests rather than those of financial-political groups (FPGs)?
📌 Ukraine’s mineral resources are no longer in the hands of oligarchs and FPGs who have plundered them—they are transferred under U.S. management.
📌 Railways, ports, and other strategic assets are also removed from the control of outright thieves and handed over to U.S. administration.
📌 U.S. oversight will remain until the Asset Management Fund reaches a revenue of $500 billion and Ukraine’s GDP returns to its 2021 level.
📌 Profits from the fund are reinvested in Ukraine.
In essence, within this agreement, the U.S. acts as a sheriff who has finally caught the thieves, confiscated their stolen goods, and is trying to restore order by returning them to the people.
❗️So perhaps all this outrage in Ukraine isn’t about protecting national interests at all?
Perhaps our high-ranking officials—the “Servants of the FPGs”—aren’t screaming for the sake of Ukraine? Maybe they’re screaming because their owners and employers realize they are losing their ability to continue looting the country and funneling money offshore?
So the question is: Who do you trust more?
Those who have lied and profited off us for the past 10 years?
Or those who are finally trying to put the corrupt elites in their place?
